Meet Smokey Joe!

Smokey Joe’s story doesn’t have the happiest ending – YET! That’s where you come in.

We rescued Smokey Joe several years ago and he was adopted into a very loving family. However, as the family grew with kids and more pets, his family realized that Smokey Joe was just not a wild and crazy kind of guy, and he was struggling. He needed a much quieter home.

Now that he’s in his foster home with no energetic dogs, playful kittens, curious toddlers or rambunctious teenagers, he’s really starting to thrive. He loves his “brush time” and starts to drool when he’s happily getting ear pets, chin scritches and head rubs. He would much rather spend time snuggled on the couch next to his people than hanging with any other felines.

Smokey Joe needs a quiet home and would do best as an only pet. He needs a family who understands how to build trust. He’s reserved, and a bit introverted around new people, but he has a ton of affection to give. He just needs a place where he will really feel safe and loved.

Smokey Joe is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FELV/FIV, microchipped, and litterbox trained.
