We found Dale (formerly known as Missy Hissy McFluff Face) on the streets as a six-week-old kitten. Even at that tender age, she had already learned to fear humans, hiding and hissing every time one came near.
After about two weeks with lots of gentle and patient care, she stopped hissing and cowering. Two weeks after that, she started to feel comfortable in her space. And then one day, about two weeks after that, she climbed onto her foster mother’s lap and put her paw on her human’s face.
The rest is history.
Her foster mother dropped her middle name, because while she definitely was still fluffy, she was no longer Hissy.
She was adopted by a family who already had adopted from Forgotten Felines and now she’s loving life with her big brother, Fox.
She’s grown into a gorgeous long-haired black cat with a really impressive gray fur collar.
